Scope of Work

Bexley North Station is one of the stations upgraded through the Transport Access Program to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure.

Arenco was responsible for all the design and construction works which involved the demolition and removal of the existing stair entry and platform canopy to allow for the installation of a new lift structure connected via a new station entry, linked to the existing road bridge, with a new covered stair access to the platform. A new accessible walkway structure from the existing car park to the existing road bridge footpath and the regrading of the existing southern footpath was required to enable accessible pathways to the station.

The existing station platform was upgraded to provide a family accessible toilet and a unisex ambulant toilet. Refurbishment works was carried out to the existing station services equipment room in providing new flooring, air-conditioning, lighting and painting.

The island platform was regraded and resurfaced with new tactile indicators to the platform edges. New landscaped areas were provided to the station precinct. Station services were upgraded including a new HV electrical service and isolation transformer connected to the station incoming supply.
