Design and construction upgrade of the existing station comprising modifications to the existing footbridge, new lift structures, walkways and canopies, a new service building and amenities, existing station building refurbishment, services upgrade, platform resurfacing and wayfinding signage. External works included new car parks, footpaths, station entry and bus stop canopies, bike storage, landscaping and lighting.
Ingleburn Railway Station is one of the stations upgraded through the Transport Access Program to provide a better experience for public transport customers by delivering accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure.
The project involved the upgrade works to the existing station structure including the provision of 3 new lifts, platform extensions and resurfacing, entry forecourt upgrade, new parking facilities, station building refurbishment and extensive services.
Arenco was responsible for all design and construction works relating to the upgrade works including modifications to the existing footbridge to allow access for the new lifts, new lift structures, new walkways and canopies, new amenities and services building, existing station building refurbishment, services upgrade, platform resurfacing and new wayfinding signage.
External works included transport interchange changes for buses and taxis on Ingleburn Road, new car parks and footpath on Stanley Road, station entry canopies and bus stop canopy, new kiss and ride areas, landscaping, bike storage and lighting.
Overcame previously unidentified services that hindered the construction of the lift structures.
Successfully worked in areas with difficult access and limited site space that was adjacent to existing station structures and live rail conditions.
Met major construction milestones despite adverse weather conditions during critical stages of the project.
